New data released by the International Baccalaureate shows that enrollment in IB programs is having a significant impact on the futures of CPS students.
CPS is proud to offer the largest network of International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in the country, with more than 20,000 students now enrolled. These programs are known for their high academic standards. The rigorous curriculum helps prepare students for success in college, and the intense focus on language, writing and global issues inspires young people to explore new ideas that will help them become the thinkers and leaders of tomorrow.
According to findings from the Chicago Post-Secondary Transition Project, 75 percent of CPS graduates who complete the IB Diploma Programme persist in college, proving that the education received in IB high schools is the foundation for developing well-rounded citizens who are poised for success in a global, 21st-Century world.
