Through a partnership with After School Matters, the Future Barbers program has given young males, ages 14-16, the opportunity to convene on the South Side and learn how to become barbers of tomorrow.
Future Barbers, a program created by Future Ties, a nonprofit organization providing free after-school and summer programming for youth, specializes in teaching young men how to cut hair and run their own business.
Jennifer Maddox, the director of the organization, says the young men are “learning how to be leaders in their community.”
Check out our students below as they learn how to cut hair like pros.
